Peak travel season often occurs from November to March, during the warmest and driest time of the year. Festivals often occur during summer months as well. During off-peak, there is still plenty of activities to be had but you may want to bundle up and bring a rain coat, as Rotorua can often be wet and cold during the off-season months.
